Save Our Village is a citizens committee which opposes Colorado Senate Bill 23-213 and Colorado State House Bill 23-1255. We believe that zoning should NOT be a centralized state issue; it should be a decentralized local issue. The state legislature will soon consider these two bills that would take away the zoning authority of many local governments and impose a top-down approach that promotes high-density development to the detriment of citizens.
If you agree that zoning is local, please contact your representatives at the state and ask them to Save Our Village. Cities should control zoning, not the state.
