SaveOurVillage is a grass-roots citizens committee formed in 2016 to oppose high-density, Transit Oriented Development at the Orchard Station light rail area in Greenwood Village. The density of the proposed development was far in excess of the limitations included in our local zoning laws. We were successful in putting this issue to a vote before the citizens of Greenwood Village in 2017. With more than 75% of the vote, We the People overwhelmingly rejected the vision of high-density development in our community. Later in 2017, We the People elected 7 of 8 candidates to the city council who supported the SaveOurVillage vision.
